It is a great time of year, the sun is attempting
to peak out on the odd occasion giving us some hope that eventually we will see a lot more of it,
and the chickens are in full lay, Shoots are appearing on trees, roses and later bulbs are bravely sprouting through the soggy mud. I've
been slowly clearing the remaining fencing panels, old chicken coops, runs and weak wiring and painting the new housing.
The first four Belle FreeRoamers are almost complete. just the coops to be installed and
we will soon be on our way to continuing with
the extention for the next four, the smaller top six for the smaller groups such as the Japanese, Miniature Silkies, Seramas and Seabrights and
of course the revamp of the older houses for
the layers (getting complaints from the other half, as we have so many chickens, but of
course he's not allowed the eggs, so we have decided to have some ex-batts - just for him!)
I haven't taken any photos of the garden except for the one below of our 2yr old handsome
resident white Silkie Cockerel Dudley, or when he's posh 'Mr Darcy' :D He loves being out
in the garden with his girls Lola and Delilah, and despite not having much of a lawn, they seem happier back out digging around! The Snowdrops growing through the patchy lawn
look so pretty, just a shame the lawn hasn't yet recovereed from such a wet winter.
Still, plenty of time! Onwards and upwards I guess for one and all.
We have some large housing that needs some tlc available if anyone is intersted
please do give us a ring :)
